A clothes steamer is a quick and convenient way to remove wrinkles from clothes, especially clothes with delicate fabrics, naps and beading, as well as drapes and upholstery. When purchasing a clothes steamer, look for:
  • Fold up features or compact design for easy storage
  • Quick heat-up time for those last minute pressings
  • A large enough water storage tank to provide steam for the amount of clothes you typically press
  • A water gauge or clear storage tank to know how much water is available
  • A continuous water filling feature so if you do need to refill while you are working you don't have to shut the steamer off to add water
  • An automatic shutoff for safety
  • A burst of steam to handle those difficult wrinkles
  • A thermostat to set the steam temperature for all different kinds of fabrics
  • A water filter for pure steam to help eliminate odors and allergens
  • Castors for easy moving
Travellers will find a hand held steamer a handy way to get wrinkles out while on the road. If you travel to Europe, look for a steamer with dual voltage and plug adapters.
